The Shooting Club



1. Membership & LSC Concierge


There are currently 3 levels of membership that make up London Shooting Club(LSC) as listed below.



  • Beginner – for those at beginner level or new to the sport
  • Competent– for those with some experience of shooting game and clays
  • Advanced - for shooters with extensive experience of all areas of shooting who have been assessed by LSC to be safe and competent
  • Young Shot - For shooters under the age of 18 – coming soon



In addition LSC offers a Concierge service (LSC Concierge) to both member and non-member clients.


All members and non-member clients (including direct and indirect via agency clients) agree to the following terms and conditions and such other conditions as the LSC may impose on a specific event, activity or service.


2. Risk and Safety


The LSC accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any accidents or injuries that may occur whilst shooting, except in the case of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of LSC.


All shoot at their own risk, acknowledging that shooting is a high risk sport, that they have the requisite skill in order to do so and must ensure that they have their own insurance cover.


Please note whilst shooting or spending time close to shooting you are at risk of injury from the following:



  • malfunction of ammunition or guns
  • being shot by other persons accidentally
  • falling while carrying a gun
  • being hit by flying objects



This is not a definitive list and the LSC shall not accept responsibility for any injury which may occur from these or any risks, except in the case of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of LSC.


When attending an event or activity each member or client must ensure that correct equipment is used, with eye protection to the current recognised standard. 


3. Shooting Declarations



  • I take full responsibility and accept full risk for selecting the activities provided by LSC and their associated partners and will not take part in any activities that are beyond my level of capability.
  • I understand that I use all facilities at each venue and take part in activities at my own risk and that I agree to adhere to each venue or instructor’s rules and procedures in order to prevent injury to myself or others.
  • I am aware of and understand the potential risks associated with shooting sports and I am voluntarily partaking in these activities with knowledge thereof.
  • I am medically fit enough to take part in the activities I have chosen and will take medical advice if necessary to ensure my safety and that of others around me.
  • I have appropriate insurance cover for all shooting activities undertaken with LSC.
  • I agree to receiving select information from LSC, associated brands, clubs and events.
  • My behaviour will not bring any disrepute to LSC and its members.



In addition, shooting declarations for Shooting Club members (hereby accepted by all Shooting Club members):



  • I am able to load, carry and discharge a firearm safely
  • I am aware of the dangers surrounding the use of firearms
  • I know of no reason why I should not be able to operate a firearm



4. Shooting and Events

There is no minimum age for members or clients (but where a member or client is under the age of 18, the parent or guardian of that member or client, agrees to these terms and shall sign any appropriate documentation).


The LSC provides access / an introduction to shooting venues, but cannot accept responsibility for any injury, theft or accident of any kind once on the premises of the venue subject to liability of LSC for death or personal injury caused by negligence.


LSC shall endeavour to fully describe the nature of the activity and level of shooting experience required, however the member or client books an activity at their own risk and we reserve the right to exclude any shooter from proceeding should the instructor on the day consider them not to have the necessary experience or ability.


All members or clients must fully disclose any medical and/or special dietary requirements on application and for attendance at any activity.


Members and clients are permitted to take part in all activities which are deemed appropriate for their level of membership or experience. However members and clients must only attend an activity that they have self-assessed as appropriate for their level and LSC shall take no responsibility on the suitability of activities and are entitled to rely on the representations of a member or client as to their level of skill.


The shooter will be required by the venue/instructor to sign a disclaimer on their visit to each venue.


5. Payment & Booking for all activities


Making Your Booking

Once we have received your booking and all appropriate payments, we will, subject to availability, confirm your activity or trip by sending a Booking Confirmation. You must check all documents (including the Booking Confirmation and Invoice (where applicable)) carefully. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on any document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later.


Please note, that unless specified otherwise NONE of the advertised activity or trip prices published in our brochures or on our website include travel arrangements to the venue, for example train journeys or flights. Suggested travel arrangements are recommended for you to choose and book at you convenience.




In order to confirm your activity or trip the full payment will be required (unless otherwise specifically stated).


If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we will send you an email reminder. If you do not pay all payments due in full within seven days of receiving this reminder, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you, and you will lose your reserved place on the activity or trip.


6. Cancellation by you


Subject always to specific conditions notified at the time of booking the following cancellation conditions shall apply:


Day Courses, Tuition, Socials, Trips and all other packages including UK and Overseas Trips

Payment must be made in full in advance when requested in accordance with the terms above. Any cancellation with more than four weeks written notice will result in a 50% refund of payments made. Any cancellation received with less than four weeks written notice will not receive any refund.


Private, Semi-Private, Group Lessons and tuition

Payment must be made in full in advance when requested in accordance with the terms above. Any cancellation with more than one weeks written notice will result in a full refund to be held as a credit by LSC to be used against the booking of another lesson at the same venue. Any cancellation received with less than one weeks written notice will not receive any refund or credit.


It is each person's responsibility to decide whether their shooting level is suitable to the chosen event and LSC seek to ensure that a full description of the nature of the event/trip is supplied, however you attend at your own risk. The above cancellation policy is applicable if activities are booked that are beyond the shooters ability.


7. Changes and Cancellation By Us


We start planning the activities we offer many months in advance. Occasionally, we have to make changes to and correct errors in brochure, website and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel confirmed bookings.


Please note some of our activities/trips require a minimum number of participants to enable us to operate them. If the minimum number of bookings required for a particular activity/trip has not been received, we are entitled to cancel it. We will notify you of cancellation for this reason no later than one week before departure or date of the trip/activity or at such time as we are able to do. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we reserve the right to do so, you will receive a full refund or credit in this scenario.


If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible. If there is time to do so before departure or the date of the trip or activity, we will offer you the choice of the following options:


(a) accepting the changed arrangements; or


(b) cancelling or accepting the cancellation in which case you will receive a full refund of all monies you have paid to us.


Please note, the above options are not available where any change made is a minor one. Compensation will not be payable and no liability beyond offering the above mentioned choices can be accepted where (1) we are forced to make a change or cancel as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care or (2) we have to cancel because the minimum number of bookings necessary for us to operate your activity or trip has not been reached (see above).


No compensation will be payable and the above options will not be available if we cancel as a result of your failure to comply with any requirement of these booking conditions entitling us to cancel (such as paying on time) or if the change made is a minor one. A minor change is any change which, taking account of the information you have given us at the time of booking or which we can reasonably be expected to know, we could not reasonably expect to have a significant effect on your confirmed activity or trip.


8. The Cost Of Your Activity


We reserve the right to make changes to and correct errors in advertised prices at any time before your activity or trip is confirmed. If there are any changes to the published prices, these will be confirmed at the time of booking. We will advise you of any error of which we are aware and of the then applicable price at the time of booking.


If any increase is greater than 10% of the total cost of your activity or trip, you will be entitled to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of all monies paid to us.


You have 14 days from the issue date printed on the surcharge invoice or payment information to tell us if you want to cancel for this reason. If you do not tell us that you wish to cancel within this period of time, we are entitled to assume that you do not wish to cancel and will pay the surcharge. Any surcharge must be paid with the balance of the cost of the activity or trip or within 14 days of the issue date printed on the surcharge invoice, whichever is the later.


9. Changes By You


If any member or client is prevented from attending the activity or trip, the person(s) concerned may (where possible and practicable to do so) transfer their place to another suitable attendee providing the following requirements are complied with. We must be notified of the transfer(s) in writing (giving full details of the original and substitute party member(s)) not less than two weeks before departure. A transfer will not be possible if there is a waiting list for places in which case the available place must be offered to the next person on that list.


Where a transfer to a person of your choice can be made, all costs and charges incurred by us and/or incurred or imposed by any of our suppliers as a result together with an amendment fee of £30 must be paid before the transfer can be affected. You are responsible for the necessary name changes to flight/rail travel to the trip destination.


10. Insurance


You are responsible for providing your own adequate insurance for both shooting and travel.


It is the shooters responsibility to select the appropriate insurance cover for the type of activity or trip they wish to participate in.


11. Force Majeure


Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by, or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of, "force majeure". In these Booking Conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity (actual or threatened), industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.


12. Our Liability To You


We promise to make sure that the activity or trip arrangements we have agreed to make, perform or provide as applicable as part of our contract with you are made, performed or provided with reasonable skill and care.


This means that, subject to these terms and conditions, we will accept responsibility if, for example, you suffer loss as a result of a failure of ourselves, our employees or agents or suppliers to use reasonable skill and care in making, performing or providing, as applicable, your contracted activity or trip arrangements.


Please note it is your responsibility to show that reasonable skill and care has not been used if you wish to make a claim against us. In addition, we will only be responsible for what our employees and agents and suppliers do or do not do if they were at the time acting within the course of their employment (for employees) or carrying out work we had asked them to do (for agents).


We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, lossdamage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following:


(a) the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or


(b) the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of your activity or trip and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable or


(c) "force majeure" as defined in above.


We cannot accept responsibility for any services which do not form part of our contract. This includes, for example, any additional services or facilities which your hotel or any other supplier agrees to provide for you where the services or facilities are not advertised by us and we have not agreed to arrange them as part of our contract. In addition, regardless of any wording used by us on our website, in any of our brochures or elsewhere, we only promise to use reasonable skill and care as set out above and we do not have any greater or different liability to you.


Please note, we cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss, expense or other sum(s) of any description (1) which on the basis of the information given to us by you concerning your booking prior to our accepting it, we could not have foreseen you would suffer or incur if we breached our contract with you or (2) which did not result from any breach of contract or other fault by ourselves or our employees or, where we are responsible for them, our suppliers. Additionally we cannot accept liability for any business losses.


13. Shooting Ability and Itinerary


To avoid any unnecessary risk to you and other members or clients, any shooting venue or instructor must reserve the right to modify the activity or trip of any shooter who, in their opinion, proves to be unsuitable for the activity chosen. In this unlikely event any additional costs will be borne by the client(s) concerned. It is the responsibility of the client to behave in a suitable manner at all times and to follow the advice and instructions of the venue or instructor. If local conditions, such as bad weather, dictate a change in the proposed itinerary, the decision of the venue or instructor must be accepted and no refund will be offered in such circumstances.


14. Special Requests and Medical Problems


If you have any special request, you must advise us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we regret we cannot promise that any request will be met unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing.


Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed onto the supplier or the inclusion of the request on your Booking Confirmation and Invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability. We regret we cannot accept any conditional bookings, i.e. any booking which is specified to be conditional on the fulfilment of a particular request. All such bookings will be treated as "standard" bookings subject to the above provisions on special requests.


If you have a medical problem or disability or any health or fitness concerns which may affect your activity or trip or your participation in any activity or has any special requirements as a result of any medical condition or disability (including any which affect the booking process), please give us full details before you confirm your booking so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the arrangements and/or making the booking. In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking.


You must also advise us as soon as possible of any change or development in any disability or medical condition or your health or fitness which may affect the activity or trip booked develops after your booking has been confirmed. If we reasonably feel unable to properly accommodate the particular needs of the person concerned, we must reserve the right to decline their reservation or, if full details are not given at the time of booking or their health/fitness/disability/medical condition changes/deteriorates, cancel when we become aware of these details.


15. Newsletter and Website Accuracy


The information contained in our newsletters and on our website is believed correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing or publication. However, errors may occasionally occur and information may subsequently change. You must therefore ensure you check all details of your chosen activity or trip (including the price) with us at the time of booking.



16. Membership Conditions:


Management reserve the right to decline application for membership or service and the right to revoke membership in their sole discretion.


17. Membership Fees & Renewal:


The annual fee for membership of the LSC is currently as follows:



  • New Member – £335
  • Refresher Member – £300
  • Young Member – £150



Note, membership fees are payable in advance and shall not be refundable


To confirm membership, a completed application form together with appropriate payment must be made to LSC account.


Six month memberships in special circumstances are also available at the discretion of LSC.


Annual membership is valid for one complete year from receipt of the first payment. E.g. Membership payment received on 1st September 2012 will be valid until 1st September 2013. Six months memberships are valid for six months from receipt of the first payment. E.g. Payment received on 1st January 2012 will be valid until 1st July 2012.


The membership fee is honoured yearly at the initial amount paid providing that membership does not lapse at any stage by the member. Members who do not renew by their renewal date will consequently need to renew at the current membership rate.


Members who do not renew their membership will not be eligible to ride with the club after expiration of their previous membership.


Auto renewal for continuous annual or six-monthly payment:



  • Membership is taken by recurring payment by Credit/Debit Card – With your verbal or written authority, payment is taken automatically each year/six months from your account, on the renewal date of your membership, until you advise us otherwise.
  • We use Sage Pay to process our payments. This is a 100% secure gateway and no financial details are stored by us.



18. Membership Cancellation


To unsubscribe from our membership and the automated renewal please send a cancellation request no later than 30 days prior to the expected annual/six monthly renewal date to and your membership will not be renewed at the end of your membership period.


The London Shooting Club regrets it cannot offer any refund, part-year refund or suspensions in the event of the cancellation of pre-paid membership.



19. Privacy Statement

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third party



We aim to take a responsible approach to all areas of our business. In order to process your booking or membership request, we need to collect certain personal details from you. These details will usually include your name, address and date of birth, credit/debit card or other payment details and special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition or dietary requirements which may affect chosen activity or trip. If we need any other personal details, we will tell you before we obtain them from you. We use a secure server to collect your payment details.


On arrival at all our venues, you will be asked to complete and sign a disclaimer form, confirming that you are satisfied with the quality of establishment and accept that you are liable for any injury caused whilst on the premises unless a case for negligence can be proved for death or personal injury.

We have appropriate security measures in place to protect your data. You generally have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you but such requests must be made in writing (by letter or e-mail).


20. Your Agreement


These terms and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with its subject matter or formation are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
